      Todd Kane penalty secures Oxford's League One status

      Oxford United came from behind with two second-half penalties to beat Rochdale 2-1 and secure their League One status.The result was a big blow to fellow strugglers Dale who slipped back into the bottom four with next weekend's home match against Charlton their last hope of beating relegation.In the first half U's goalkeeper Simon Eastwood produced a stunning point-blank range save from Calvin Andrew's header.Bradden Inman fired the visitors in front after 59 minutes with a low shot from 16 yards after cutting inside a defender.Oxford equalised three minutes later from the penalty spot after Joe Rothwell drove into the box and was brought down by Callum Camps.Skipper John Mousinho hammered the spot-kick high into the net for his first goal for the club.With six minutes to go Camps was again guilty of a mistimed tackle, tripping substituting Rob Hall inside the area.This time Todd Kane took the penalty and sent Josh Lillis the wrong way as he fired into the bottom-right corner to send Oxford eight points above the drop zone.

        Rochdale draw clear of relegation zone

        Rochdale climbed out of the Sky Bet League One relegation zone for the first time since mid-December after a 1-1 draw with okay-off chasing Plymouth.Ryan Delaney's 55th-minute header cancelled out Joel Grant's opener for the visitors, who were the better side in the opening half and were left to rue missed chances.Graham Carey, Antoni Sarcevic and Ruben Lameiras were all denied by Josh Lillis and when Carey beat the goalkeeper with a curling shot his effort struck the post.Dale boss Keith Hill made a double substitution at the break and his side started the second half brightly, Callum Camps' flicked effort forcing a good save out of Remi Matthews.The home side were dealt a sucker punch when Argyle broke forward and Lameiras picked out Grant, who headed home on 54 minutes. But Dale levelled within a minute, Delaney heading home Brad Inman's corner.Dale looked the more likely to grab a winner with Matty Gillam's turn and shot from close range flying over the Plymouth crossbar, while Inman had a shot beaten away by Matthews.

          Charlie Wyke denies Rochdale at the death

          Rochdale remain in the League One relegation zone after Charlie Wyke struck late on to secure Bradford a 1-1 draw. Dale looked on course to climb out of the bottom four for the first time since mid-December when Matt Done fired them ahead just before the break. But goalkeeper Josh Lillis dropped a routine 89th-minute cross to present Wyke with the simplest of finishes, leaving Dale a point from safety. The home side's deserved breakthrough came a minute before the break. Tenacious work from Calvin Andrew and a deep cross from left to right by Joe Thompson saw Brad Inman nod the ball into Done's path. He took a touch before rifling a superb finish across Colin Doyle and into the far corner of the net.After the break, Wyke volleyed Tony McMahon's centre over the crossbar while Nicky Law rolled an effort across the face of goal and wide. It looked like Dale had held out for victory until the 89th minute when Lillis spilled a routine cross and Wyke poked home.
