Arizona Wildcats center Kaleb Tarczewski will miss four to six weeks with multiple injuries in his left foot, the school announced.
Tarczewski suffered a stress reaction and strained muscle in his left foot last week during the Wooden Legacy. He played 27 minutes against Santa Clara before sitting out the Wildcats' final two games of the tournament. Arizona lost to Providence and beat Boise State without Tarczewski.
The 7-foot senior was averaging 8.6 points and 7.2 rebounds during the first five games of the season.
Coach Sean Miller has tried out different lineups in Tarczewski's absence the past two games, but expect 7-foot sophomore Dusan Ristic to see an expanded role. He started and played 18 minutes against Providence before moving back to the bench against Boise State. Miller can also use a smaller lineup, as five guards saw at least 24 minutes against Boise.
No. 19-ranked Arizona plays at the No. 13 Gonzaga Bulldogs on Saturday.
