Duke point guard Tre Jones missed Saturday's 75-70 victory against Brown with a mild left foot sprain and remains day-to-day, the school announced.

It's the second consecutive game that Jones has missed for the Blue Devils. He was also absent against Wofford on Dec. 19.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said after the game that Jones has been participating in no-contact practices, but needs "another day or two" to test the foot.

"He did everything [in practice]," Krzyzewski said. "Felt pretty good after [Thursday and Friday], but still not completely sure. Still think he needs another day or two. I expect him to participate in practice [Sunday] with contact and everything."

Jones is averaging 15.6 points and 7.1 assists for a Duke team that will return to conference play on Tuesday against Boston College.
