Cubs win Game 5 over Indians, extend World Series

The Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs played Game 5 of the World Series at Wrigley Field, with Cleveland looking to win its first World Series title in, oh, 67 years. But the Cubs would have none of that, beating the Indians 3-2 to send the series back to Cleveland.

We're going back to Cleveland

Put it in the books, Cubs fans. Aroldis Chapman's 2⅔ innings of scoreless baseball helped Chicago hang on for a 3-2 win, and sent the Series back to Cleveland for Game 6.

The celebration is on

Cubs fans take to the streets in Chicago to celebrate a Game 5 win.

A classic 7th-inning stretch

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder did a duet with the late Harry Caray for Wrigley's singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

Bryant's homer sparks Cubs rally

Kris Bryant put Chicago on the board in the fourth inning with a solo home run. The Cubs went on to score three runs that inning to take a 3-1 lead.

An unlikely duo?

Former Yankees manager Joe Torre strikes a pose with New York native and singing superstar Lady Gaga at the game.

Cubs fans go all out in Chicago

When your team hasn't won a World Series in over a century, a little cold weather doesn't even matter. This fan captured the attitude inside and outside Wrigley during the Cubs' rally.

Is that Jim Harbaugh?

Yep, that's the Michigan football coach, supporting the team in the city where he was a quarterback for seven seasons with the Bears.

Coping with the pain

After Jose Ramirez homered at the top of the second inning to give the Indians a 1-0 lead, Cubs fans at Stretch Bar & Grill ordered hundreds of dollars' worth of shots.

Good sign for the Cubs?

This happened the last time there were two ties in the NFL season (there have been two so far this year) ...
