Former Minnesota Twins Torii Hunter and LaTroy Hawkins will join Fox Sports North's broadcast team as analysts for the 2017 season, the network announced Wednesday.
Hunter spent 12 of his 19 major league seasons with the Twins. Following stints with the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers, he returned to Minnesota in 2015 and retired following the end of that season.
While with the Twins during the first 11 seasons, the outfielder, now 41, won seven Gold Glove awards and was an All-Star twice. He was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame last year.
Hawkins debuted for Minnesota in 1995 and spent nine years of his 21-year career with the Twins. He had a 5.05 ERA for the Twins, primarily as a reliever.
Hawkins went on to play for nine more teams. Now 44, he retired at the end of the 2015 season following a one-year stint with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Hunter and Hawkins, along with former Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer, were hired as Special Assistants to Baseball Operations in November.
