Rangers wait as Adrian Beltre tests ailing ankle; Jurickson Profar back

The Texas Rangers will wait another day before deciding whether to put third baseman Adrian Beltre back on the disabled list.

Beltre sprained his ankle earlier this week. He was out of a walking boot Friday and said the ankle had improved enough to test both on the field and in the batting cage.

Beltre missed most of the first two months of the season with a calf injury.

The Rangers did recall infielder Jurickson Profar from Triple-A Round Rock. He was hitting just .134 when he was demoted in late April.

In the corresponding roster move, Texas optioned lefty Dario Alvarez to Round Rock.
