Boston Red Sox left-handed starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz has been activated off the 10-day disabled list, the team announced Friday.
Pomeranz is slated to start Friday night's road game against the Oakland Athletics. Pomeranz was recovering from a left forearm flexor injury suffered in spring training.
The 29-year-old was 17-6 with a 3.32 ERA last season with Boston.
The team optioned right-handed pitcher Marcus Walden to Triple-A Pawtucket.
