The Kansas City Royals have placed third baseman Hunter Dozier on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 31.
Dozier left last Thursday's game with muscle tightness in his chest.
Dozier, 27, has been a pleasant surprise for the Royals this season, hitting .314 with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs.
