Minnesota reinstates Cron, Rosario from IL

The Minnesota Twins have reinstated first baseman C.J. Cron and outfielder Eddie Rosario from the 10-day injured list.

Cron was hitting .266 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs before going on the IL with right thumb inflammation earlier this month. He's hitting fifth and playing first base Tuesday night against the New York Mets.

Rosario had missed Minnesota's previous 13 games with a left ankle sprain. He's batting cleanup and playing left field against the Mets.

In the corresponding roster moves, the Twins placed OF Byron Buxton on the seven-day IL with concussion-like symptoms. Right-hander Mike Morin was designated for assignment.
