Scherzer throws sim game, 'felt good,' Nats say

Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer threw a 64-pitch simulated game on Saturday, and manager Davey Martinez said the ace felt good.

Martinez told reporters the team will see how Scherzer feels on Sunday to determine next steps.

Scherzer is dealing with a mild rhomboid strain and has only made one start in the past six weeks.

The 35-year-old right-hander also threw about 60 pitches on Tuesday as part of a simulated game.
