The Oakland A's put center fielder Esteury Ruiz on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right shoulder subluxation.
He suffered the injury diving back to first base on a pickoff attempt on Wednesday in Detroit.
Ruiz, 24, leads the major leagues with 43 stolen bases and is batting .257 with 35 RBIs in 85 games this season.
The A's also called up outfielder Cody Thomas and right-hander Angel Felipe from Triple-A Las Vegas and designated right-hander Rico Garcia for assignment.
Thomas, 28, is batting .308 with 17 homers and 79 RBIs in 74 games this season at Las Vegas. He appeared in 10 games with Oakland last season and batted .267.
Felipe, 25, was claimed off waivers from the San Diego Padres on June 21. He is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five relief appearances for Las Vegas.
Garcia, 29, allowed two runs on four hits in 1⅔ innings in Thursday's 9-0 loss to the Tigers. He has an 8.31 ERA in seven relief appearances for the Athletics.
