San Francisco Giants players shared their respect and admiration for reliever Javier Lopez on social media after Lopez announced his retirement on Wednesday.
Lopez, 39, spent seven seasons with the Giants and was part of the World Series championship teams in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
The Giants tweeted a thank-you to the left-hander that highlighted his accomplishments in San Francisco. Several Giants players responded to the team's tweet, adding their own remarks about their former teammate.

Catcher Buster Posey took to Instagram to give Lopez a retirement shoutout.

In addition to his three World Series rings with the Giants, Lopez has a fourth earned as a member of the 2007 Boston Red Sox. He finishes his 14-year major league career with a 3.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 178 holds.
