FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas Razorbacks' Michael Washington has officially removed his name from the NBA draft.
The 6-foot-9 Washington will return to the Razorbacks for his senior season, the school announced Wednesday. Washington submitted his name for the draft nearly a month ago, but he did not sign with an agent. He had until June 15 to remove his name.
Washington led Arkansas with 15.5 points per game last season, and he led the Southeastern Conference with 9.8 rebounds. The Razorbacks went 14-16 in 2008-09, including 2-14 in SEC play. Washington's return should enable them to bring back all five starters next season.
