Will no one stand up to Sydney Kings?
The gap between them and the rest of the NBL widened further when the undefeated heavyweights crushed Brisbane Bullets 94-79 at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena.
Not even the eviction of Sydney's Andrew Bogut could help Brisbane who have not beaten the Kings in their last eight starts.
Bullets coach Andrej Lemanis lamented a lack of fight and polish from his players who were little more than training fodder for Bogut, Casper Ware and Jae'Sean Tate.
Bogut had 12 points, 11 rebounds and four assists when the centre was sent from the court for a second unsportsmanlike foul early in the last quarter.
The damage had already been done by then, with Ware on the way to 17 points and Tate leading the rest of the Kings in exposing Brisbane's lack of authority at the post.
"I felt they did whatever they wanted offensively," said Lamar Patterson who was one of few Bullets to show some resolve.
Patterson had 20 points while teammate Nathan Sobey finished with 21 after a slow start.
Defence has been Brisbane's problem over the first month of the season and again they had no answer to the silky skills of Ware.
The Kings point guard put on a show in the first quarter, opening the game with 12 points and three assists.
Lemanis's men had problems at both ends.
Defensively, they couldn't hurry the Kings into any errors and were out-rebounded 17-10 midway through the second quarter.
Their offence created plenty of opportunities but, Patterson aside, the shooting was poor.
