Sources: Dejan Vasiljevic agrees to deal with the Sydney Kings

Australian rookie Dejan Vasiljevic has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Sydney Kings, sources have told ESPN.

The sharpshooter out of Melbourne is coming off a four-year stint at the University of Miami, where he averaged 13.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, and hit 34.4 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.

Vasiljevic also received interest from the Adelaide 36ers, Perth Wildcats, Cairns Taipans, and South East Melbourne Phoenix, sources said, before agreeing to sign with Will Weaver's Kings for the first season of his professional career.

Vasiljevic, 23, will have the opportunity to play an important role for the Kings, who lack guard depth after the retirement of Kevin Lisch, as well as the unknown status of guards Casper Ware -- who opted out of his deal with Sydney -- and Didi Louzada.

With Vasiljevic agreeing in principle to join the Kings, Weaver's roster will sit at seven heading into NBL Free Agency, which is set to begin on July 15. Vasiljevic will join Xavier Cooks, Brad Newley, Shaun Bruce, Craig Moller, Jordan Hunter, and Louzada; though it's still not determined whether Louzada will play in Sydney for the upcoming season.

The Kings are also the preferred landing spot for Angus Glover, another promising young Australian guard, sources said. Glover is coming off an impressive season with the Illawarra Hawks, before his contract was voided after the franchise was placed into voluntary administration.
