Titans should take QB at No. 2

Rich Barnes/USA TODAY Sports

Insider's NFL Front Office is taking a look at the draft decisions facing the teams picking in the top five of the NFL draft. In this edition, it takes over the Tennessee Titans, looking at whether the team should take a chance on embattled quarterback Jameis Winston.

Mark Dominik serves as our general manager, Herm Edwards as our head coach, Louis Riddick as our director of pro personnel, Aaron Schatz as our director of analytics and Todd McShay as our director of college scouting.

Pick 1: Bucs | Pick 2: Titans | Pick 3: Jaguars | Pick 4: Raiders | Pick 5: Redskins

Mark Dominik (general manager): I've thought since the beginning of the draft process that Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston should be the first two players selected, and I still feel that way now. In this scenario, the Buccaneers have gone with Mariota at No. 1, leaving us with the option of taking Winston, trading back for more picks -- and with Winston on the board, we should get some really good offers -- or taking one of the top defensive players such as Leonard Williams or Dante Fowler Jr.

Do any of you think we shouldn't take Winston at No. 2?

Todd McShay (director of college scouting): We can sprint this pick up to the podium. With Tampa taking Mariota at No. 1, this becomes a no-brainer.
