French Open champion Stan Wawrinka says he is "mentally tired" and needs to rest following his shock early Queen's Club exit.
The Swiss, who upset world No.1 Novak Djokovic to win his second grand slam at Roland Garros earlier this month, suffered a 7-6(4) 7-6(11) defeat to Kevin Anderson on Wednesday afternoon.
However, despite his exertions in Paris, Wawrinka isn't planning on taking too much time off.
"I'm going to practice hard, for sure," he told reporters. "I am trying to find the right balance between resting and practice.
"I'm quite tired mentally. Physically, also, but especially mentally. I try to find a good balance between some time off and some great practice. But I have time. It was really good to come here, to have some matches, to have some directly grass court test of my level.
"So I think I play well. I have now 10 days to be ready for Wimbledon, and I'm sure I'm going to do the best I can to be fit for and ready for the first match."
The defeat - his fourth in a row to the big-serving South African, who sent down 22 aces - brought to an end the world No.4's eight-match unbeaten streak.
With his search for a first title on grass still ongoing, Wawrinka also played down suggestions he can now be grouped with the 'big four' of Djokovic, compatriot Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal.
"For me, I still think I'm far from them," said Wawrinka. "How do you put the level? How do you put the results? When you going to say, 'Okay, I'm part of the big five', I don't know."
He added: "For sure, if you look last two years, I'm No.4 in the world with two grand slams, Masters 1000, one 500, two or three 250, one Davis Cup, so that's amazing.
"But when we talk about the big four it's been 10 years and they are doing great result, amazing results. So again, I'm not trying to be big four or big five, whatever. I'm trying to do the best I can. I'm trying to enjoy what I'm doing and trying to still win some big tournaments.
"That's all I care. That's why I respect so much what they did in the past. That, you will never change, what they achieved, all four."
Wawrinka is also tipping Djokovic to retain his crown at SW19.
"I put Novak, Murray, and Roger. For me, that's the three favourites," he said. "You want an order? I put Novak, Roger, Murray."
