The WNBA announced Thursday that its upcoming draft on April 15 will be done virtually, as was the case last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the picks starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN and the ESPN App. Top prospects will participate remotely.
The telecast also will feature WNBA players discussing COVID-19 vaccines, one of the initiatives the league is focusing on this season. And there will be guest appearances from WNBA legends as the league prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary season.
The WNBA's app will have a live chat room and a "Pick Your Pick" option for fans to vote who they think should be drafted.
The Dallas Wings have the top two selections, along with Nos. 5 and 7 in the first round. Texas' Charli Collier is projected to be the No. 1 pick.
