Our experts give us their Sweet 16 picks

The Pac-12 put four teams in the regional semifinals for the first time, but will the West Coast be as well represented in the next round?

The odds -- and expert picks from espnW's Charlie Creme, Graham Hays and Mechelle Voepel -- are against them. Washington pulled off perhaps the biggest upset so far in the tournament, defeating second-seeded Maryland in College Park in the second round.

But the seventh-seeded Huskies are the underdog against Kentucky on Friday.

In fact, the SEC -- which also put four teams in the Sweet 16 -- is a much heavier favorite when it comes to which teams will reach the Elite Eight, with as many as three teams predicted to advance.

All four No. 1 seeds remain alive -- including three-time defending NCAA champion UConn, which has won 71 consecutive games -- and are predicted to reach the regional final.

The regional semifinals tip off at 7 p.m. ET Friday on ESPN and ESPN2.
