Dallas names Jeff Jagodzinski OC due to Hal Mumme's broken leg

The Dallas Renegades announced Monday that Hal Mumme will not continue as offensive coordinator, because of the broken leg he suffered in a sideline collision last week, and promoted Jeff Jagodzinski to take over the role.

"We appreciate Hal's hard work and efforts with our squad, particularly after his injury last weekend," coach Bob Stoops said in a statement. "Unfortunately, it prevented him from performing in the way we needed for the Renegades."

Jagodzinski will remain the team's offensive line coach, as well. Running backs coach Bobby Blizzard was named assistant offensive coordinator and will handle playcalling duties.

Mumme, 67, will remain with the Renegades as an offensive adviser.

Mumme suffered the injury when Dallas running back Cameron Artis-Payne collided with him out of bounds at the end of a run. Artis-Payne was pushed by a Roughnecks defender just before going out of bounds, and Artis-Payne's momentum carried him into Mumme.
