Big Ten rankings: Donovan Warren, No. 23

The Big Ten postseason player rankings continue with ...

No. 23

Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan, Jr., 6-0, 185

Preseason rank: Unranked

Why he's here: Warren was the lone bright spot for a poor Michigan secondary this fall, recording four interceptions and 11 passes defended, putting him sixth in the league in both categories. He got the Wolverines on the scoreboard at Iowa with a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown. Warren did most of his damage during Big Ten play, recording all four of his interceptions against league opponents and recording a career-high four pass breakups against Iowa. He had the game-clinching interception against Indiana and recorded a career-high 66 tackles in 2009.

Opponents eventually avoided Warren and picked on Michigan's weaker defensive backs, but Warren still earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the league's media. He projects well to the next level and entered the NFL draft a year early. Despite playing on bad defenses his last two years, Warren had a very solid career against Michigan and should do well as a pro.
