If you didn't like how the BCS bowl lineups turned out, don't blame us. Neither Adam nor I vote in either of the two major polls that make up the majority of the BCS formula. Northern Illinois is, of course, the most controversial BCS team. We both had the Huskers in our Top 16; they finished No. 15 in the BCS standings. ... There was no change in our placement of Ohio State this week (I had Georgia ranked behind the Buckeyes a week ago). Argue with me all you'd like on that, but I'd still take the résumés of Florida and Texas A&M. ... There's a neat little grouping of Big Ten teams there at the bottom of our rankings. I've got four Big Ten teams in a row, in fact. We both have Michigan over Nebraska despite the fact that the Huskers beat the Wolverines. I can tell you it is a difficult call and we've wrestled over who should be No. 2 in our Big Ten power rankings. Nebraska, though, deserved to take a big fall after that horrendous showing on Saturday night. ... I put Wisconsin in at No. 25. I know the Badgers are only 8-5, but if they play remotely like they did in Indianapolis, they can beat most, if not all, of the teams in these rankings. No offense to San Jose State, which has had a tremendous season. But I think Wisconsin would be a 10-point favorite if those two teams played.
