ESPN 300s Neal and Herron love LSU visit

As prospects travel home from LSU and others continue their official visits in Baton Rouge, La., the preliminary reviews about the weekend are strong despite the Tigers' heartbreaking 21-17 loss to Alabama on Saturday night.

When asked about the trip and game-day atmosphere, four-star linebacker Lewis Neal from Wilson (N.C.) Hunt said in a text message that it was "unbelievable."

Neal's official visit to Baton Rouge continued Sunday. He'll head home Monday.

The ESPN 300 prospect, who committed to LSU in July, said last week that he wasn't remotely considering other schools. He posted several pictures on Facebook from the Tiger Stadium sideline, including one in which he was wearing an LSU sweatshirt and holding up his index finger signifying the Tigers are No. 1.

Fellow commitment Frank Herron seemed equally impressed. When asked about his unofficial visit during his drive home, Herron emailed, "It was great. That was my first game and I feel that I can play right away."

Herron, another ESPN 300 prospect, committed to LSU in June. He is from Memphis (Tenn.) Central.
