LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Chicago White Sox offense continued to roll on Thursday after scoring 14 on Wednesday in a win over the Washington Nationals.

Catcher Ryan Lidge was the star in the 7-4 win over the Texas Rangers in the nine inning game, one of only two nine inning games in the 20 games played at the 2012 Games.

Lidge, a switchhitter batting from the left side, lined a two-out double down the right field line that cleared the bases in the eight inning and provided the difference in the win.

The six-foot-two, 180 pound senior-to-be from Barrington, Ill, is cousins with Major League pitcher Brad Lidge and hit .375 with 10 doubles and 25 RBI as a junior this spring at Barrington High.
