21. Robert Woods, WR, USC

Woods2010 numbers: As a true freshman, Woods caught a team-high 65 passes for 792 yards with six touchdowns. He also averaged 25.6 yards on 38 kick returns, with a 97-yard touchdown.

2010 ranking: Unranked

Making the case for Woods: Woods was the 2010 Pac-10 Offensive Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Pac-10 as a kick returner. He also made numerous freshmen All-American teams. He was the first USC true freshman to start a season opener at wide receiver in the post-World War II era. His "hello world" game came when he caught 12 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns in the nail-biting loss to Stanford. He followed up that game with seven receptions for 116 yards and two TDs against California. Woods fell off a bit over the second half of the season, but that's not unusual for a true freshman. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is a driven athlete and appeared dominant at times this spring. If you're looking to bet on the upside of a young player, Woods might be your man -- and not just in the Pac-12; in the nation.
