PASADENA, Calif. -- The Stanford band has developed a reputation for its irreverent performances. Before this season, some controversial off-field behavior led to them being banned from delivering their signature skits and voice-overs at road games during the 2015 regular season.
But the Cardinal's band returned with a vengeance. In their first appearance away from Stanford Stadium this season, they upset Iowa fans at halftime of the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual by referring to FarmersOnly.com -- an online dating site -- before simulating cow-tipping.
Iowa fan behind me said, "They got the cow shape all wrong." He might have been serious.

As expected, Hawkeyes fans -- already unhappy with the 35-0 deficit their team was facing -- booed the Stanford band mercilessly off the field.
The Stanford band then responded, unapologetically, from their Twitter account:
Glad you liked our corn show, Iowa! Couldn't tell, was that booing or mooing? #imsosorry #1dayfromretirement
