A-Day won't be the end-all, be-all of the handful of position battles going on at Alabama this spring, but the scrimmage will certainly go a long way in determining the outcome.

Whether it's offensive line, pass rush or wide receiver, there are jobs up for grabs and the opportunity to seize momentum heading into the offseason.

Here's a breakdown of those key battles to watch during the final practice of the spring in Tuscaloosa:

Offensive line: The left side is all but locked down with Bradley Bozeman at center, Ross Pierschbacher at guard and Jonah Williams at tackle. The right side, however, is a question mark. Lester Cotton could be ready at right tackle, but just when it looked as if veteran reserve Matt Womack was in position to take over a starting position at left guard early this spring, he cooled off. That created an opening for Deonte Brown to try his hand at the position. Surprisingly, we haven't heard much out of Alex Leatherwood, the five-star freshman offensive tackle who enrolled early, or Elliot Baker, the No. 1-rated junior college offensive tackle. Could that change at A-Day?

Pass rush: Whether it's defensive end or outside linebacker, Alabama has a ton of production to replace when it comes to rushing the passer. Between Jonathan Allen, Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson, you're looking at 67 career sacks leaving. We know that Da'Shawn Hand is primed for a starting role at defensive end and the former five-star recruit has the potential to be a star. Beyond him, there isn't a sure thing. Isaiah Buggs is one to watch on the line, and Christian Miller and Anfernee Jennings have been the top two candidates at outside linebacker. But don't forget Terrell Hall, who has all the tools to be a star, or Ben Davis, who entered Alabama as a top inside linebacker prospect but shifted outside after his redshirt season last year. With inside linebackers Rashaan Evans and Dylan Moses cross-training at outside linebacker, their speed could be of good use as well.

Wide receiver: With ArDarius Stewart gone, who becomes the No. 2 to Calvin Ridley? For that matter, who will fill the valuable slot role vacated by Gehrig Dieter? New receivers coach Mike Locksley might have his hands full, but he has options. The question is between Cam Sims, Robert Foster, Trevon Diggs and Jerry Jeudy, where do all the pieces fit? Diggs has spent much of the spring at defensive back. Meanwhile, Foster is a wild card given his tremendous talent and lack of overall production. Jeudy has created quite the buzz as a true freshman, drawing comparisons to Ridley, but it remains to be seen how he performs in a high-stakes game environment.
