Still only 17, Suphanat Mueanta has already broken records and made history during his brief two years as a professional footballer with Buriram United and the Thai national team.
Having become the youngest player to ever feature in the Thai League in April 2018, Suphanat made more history a month later when he scored two goals in a 5-0 win over Air Force Central. He became the youngest player to score in the competition at the age of 15 years, nine months and 22 days.
That year, he also competed at both the AFC U-16 and U-19 Championships within a span of two months, where he impressed players three years older. The fleet-footed forward continued his record-breaking streak in Asian football's premier club competition.
On April 9, 2019, Suphanat became the youngest scorer in an AFC Champions League match.
In what was ultimately a 3-1 loss for Buriram against Chinese giants Beijing Guoan, Suphanat grabbed an 80th-minute consolation at Chang Arena. He raced onto Luong Xuan Truong's slide-rule pass before clinically firing through the legs of opposition goalkeeper Zou Dehai.

His age at that point? 16 years, eight months and seven days. He continued to raise the bar despite his age.
Two months later, when he came off the bench in the 85th minute in a King's Cup clash against rivals Vietnam, Suphanat broke the record for the youngest player to represent Thailand's senior national team at 16 years, ten months and three days.
Suphanat has continued his march on the record books by notching another milestone in 2020. He became the youngest player to score at January's AFC U-23 Championship (17 years, five months and six days) and notched a brace as hosts Thailand opened their campaign with a resounding 5-0 rout of Bahrain.
While it might be some time before Thailand's hottest prospect takes to the field again, few would bet against him continuing his record-breaking, history-making feats once Asian football resumes.
