Cloud9 will make its return to the Halo scene at the Halo Championship Series Summer Finals next weekend. The organization has acquired Renegades' former roster: Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Hamza "Commonly" Abbaali, Cameron "Victory X" Thorlakson, Zane "Penguin" Hearon, and coach Kory "Symbolic" Arruda.

"Our time on Renegades was good," Arruda said. "I think they're a great group of people that found themselves in an unfortunate situation. I truly wish the best for them. With that said, we're really excited to be moving forward with an organization such as Cloud9. I worked with them previously so I know our time here will be great."

Cloud9 general manager Danan Flander added, "We are absolutely excited to get back into the competitive Halo scene. We were impressed by the results of the former Renegades squad throughout the summer split and are confident they'll be in even better form at the Summer Finals. We look forward to getting more involved in the scene, as well as working alongside ESL and 343 while participating in the HCS."

The roster finished the inaugural season of the Halo Championship Series: Pro League in fourth place with an overall record of 7-7 and a map record of 28-28. It'll play defending world champions Counter Logic Gaming in the first round of the Summer Finals.
