After obtaining the rights to the book "OpTic Gaming: The Making of eSports Champions," producers John Sacchi and Matt Groesch have plans to produce a movie centered around the team's legacy, according to an exclusive report by Variety. The movie will be produced under 5 More Minutes, Sacchi's film and TV production company.

Originally published in May this year, the book chronicles the story of OpTic Gaming's Call of Duty team and its rise to the top of the esports scene. It also explains how the players of the organization managed to turn their passion for video games into a marketable business venture.

The book was co-written by Ryan Dempsey and several former and current members of the organization, including Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, Ryan Musselman, Will Johnson, Seth "Scump" Abner, Hector Rodriguez, Ryan Wyatt and Ashley Glassel.

Sacchi, according to the report, is a former executive of Lionsgate.
