Dota 2 team MVP Phoenix keeps losing players, but the most recent duo might not be jumping ship entirely.

In an update to Valve's registration database for the upcoming Fall Major, Kim "QO" Seon-Yeob and Kim "Febby" Yong-Min were both listed as having left MVP Phoenix.

In an update on Twitter, QO shed more light on the departure:

It's likely QO and Febby are dropping so they will be free to explore their options past the upcoming roster-drop date, which is a tactic also currently appearing on the Chinese Dota 2 scene.

In the new roster-lock system for the 2017 competitive season, teams have two separate dates for roster changes: Sept. 4 locks whoever is on a team's roster to that team for the upcoming Major, but free agents can still join teams with vacancies until Sept. 18.

This isn't the first roster loss for MVP Phoenix this season. Pyo "MP" No-a and Lee "Forev" Sang-don recently left the team to join the new Secret lineup, and other SEA teams have had issues with players leaving for other organizations. After MVP's performance at TI6, finishing fifth/sixth and taking out some of the top squads in the tournament, there's no doubt teams are looking to grab some talent from this squad.

More information will be revealed regarding QO's and Febby's status with MVP as we approach the roster-add lock date of Sept. 18 ahead of the Fall Major.
