EDward Gaming calmly dismantles INTZ to lead Group C

Group C leader EDward Gaming made short work of last-place INTZ e-Sports in a wire-to-wire win, virtually punching its ticket to the Worlds quarterfinals. Riot Games

EDward Gaming made short work of INTZ e-Sports, the team that beat it last week, with a victory in 34 minutes on Day 6 of the League of Legends World Championships. The Chinese all-star lineup was dominant from the start and never allowed the opposition to operate a macro-oriented game plan.

With the victory, EDG improved to 3-1 in the group stages and seems to be headed to the quarterfinals, while INTZ e-Sports fell to 1-3.

The focus of EDward Gaming's attack was the vulnerable INTZ e-Sports' bottom lane. Instead of shutting down the strength of INTZ e-Sports' core (top and jungle), it was a full-on assault against the weaker lanes.

EDG's Yechan "Scout" Lee was a monster on Syndra all game and finished with a kill/death/ratio stat line of 12/1/8. He was unstoppable in team fights and doing damage freely, regardless of his positioning. While INTZ e-Sports won its top lane matchup, the early deficit and resources from the rest of EDG crushed any potential for a comeback.

EDG won in every facet of the match and quieted any lingering critics that predicted another upset loss.
