H2k stays red hot in win over EDG

H2k-Gaming triumphed over EDward Gaming to improve to 3-2 in Group C at the League of Legends World Championships. H2K now control its destiny to advance out of their group, with tiebreaker victories over EDG and ahq e-Sports Club.

H2K prioritized the top and middle lane to build up both Andrie "Odoamne" Pascu and Yoo "Ryu" Sang-ook. Instead of a slow and methodical lane phase, H2k aggressively dove and harassed the top and middle lanes of EDG to secure free waves and an advantage in the creep score. Ryu took down the first turret of the game at 14:57, and the team transitioned to its signature macro-oriented play in the midgame.

Ryu would be the star of the game on Ryze, with a kill/death/ratio stat line of 6/3/3. AD carry Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou-Napoleon was close behind at 3/0/5 on Caitlyn.

The strategy of early aggression to throw off EDward Gaming's weaker early game allowed FORG1VEN to scale up and farm freely, while Odoamne and Ryu were effective damage-dealers in peel-offs and hit-and-runs.
