Splyce keeps hopes alive with win over Royal Never Give Up

Continuing the momentum of H2k from the European region, Splyce obliterated China's Royal Never Give Up in 36:11. A monster game from mid laner Chres "Sencux" Laursen helped SPY pick up its first win of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship.

First Blood didn't clock in until 11:30, and by that time, the No. 3 seed from EU was out-laning the heavy favorites from China. Legendary support Cho "Mata" Se-hyoung was on Karma, preventing him from roaming effectively and initiating with success. First tower and a double kill for Sencux meant Splyce started running away with the game

At 23 minutes, SPY was up 7-2 in kills and 6.3k in gold. Coming out of the first round of Groups last week, Sencux led all mid laners in kills with 18. He finished 6/0/4 on Malzahar in this game. Splyce is now 1-3 and keeps a miracle quarterfinal run alive.
