SKT T1 takes a snowball win against I May's inventive picks to advance

SK Telecom T1 is the top South Korean seed going into the League of Legends World Championship and a truly formidable foe. Provided by Riot Games

A pair of unique picks with Nautilus and Kha'Zix couldn't save China's I May from falling to SK Telecom T1 at the League of Legends 2016 World Championship. Kang "Blank" Sun-gu was again in the jungle for SKT, and set the tone early by harassing the mid lane repeatedly with his Olaf play.

SKT snowballed the game quickly in their favor, holding a 5.2k gold lead just before 20 minutes. Still, I May was able to steal a Baron to remain in the game, yet it didn't quite matter; SKT was still able to bully around the opposition.

It took 45:23, but Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, who ended 3/1/9 on Varus, and company marched into the base and easily dispatched I May. SKT hasn't been showing many weaknesses in this World's tournament, as they were never in danger of losing this match. The team advances from Group B as the top seed.
