Following the conclusion of the League of Legends World Championship group stage, the quarterfinals matchups for the event have been drawn, pitting eight teams against one another beginning Thursday Oct. 13 at the Chicago Theatre.

All three South Korean teams, SK Telecom T1, ROX Tigers, and Samsung Galaxy, advanced into the quarterfinal stages. China had two teams, EDward Gaming and Royal Never Give Up, who both advanced as second place in their groups. North America and Europe only had one team each advance, with Cloud9 and H2K making it out of their groups. And rounding out the top eight is the wildcard team from Russia, Albus Nox Luna.

Thursday's match will be between group D winner Samsung Galaxy and group B runner-up Cloud9. Friday will match up group B winner SK Telecom T1 with group D runner-up Royal Never Give Up. Saturday will pit group A winner ROX Tigers against group C runner-up EDward Gaming. And rounding out the weekend on Sunday, group C winner H2K Gaming will face group A runner-up Albus Nox Luna.

In addition to the draw, Riot Games announced that via in-game skin and ward sales, the prize pool for the event has increased by $2,015,000 so far. The total prize purse is now $4,145,000 and will continue to increase over the course of the next few weeks up until the finals that will take place in Los Angeles' Staples Center on Oct. 29.

With the conclusion of groups, the event will now move on to its bracket stage. That will begin in Chicago, then tour to New York's Madison Square Garden for the semifinals, and end in Los Angeles for the finals.
