Update: Since the time of publication, Origen has confirmed the departure of sOAZ, as well as jungler Maurice "Amazing" Stückenschneider.
Top laner Paul "sOAZ" Boyer is considering other options outside Origen following the expiration of his contract, confirmed by Enrique "xPeke" Cedeño Martinez to ESPN. It's undecided which team sOAZ will move to during the offseason, however, multiple sources close to the player and organization have said that he intends to leave Origen.
"What you were asking about sOAZ is true. His contract hasn't ran out yet but after talks, we allowed him to talk to other teams," Martinez told ESPN. "It's not confirmed to which team he'll go yet, he just wants to hear more offers and then decide."
If sOAZ finds a new team in the offseason, it will be the first time in his career since 2012 that he has not teamed with Martinez. The two players, who initially faced each other in the 2011 League of Legends World Championship final, later joined forces when sOAZ moved to Fnatic in June 2012. In 2015, when Martinez launched Origen, both players departed Fnatic to play under the new banner. The squad took third-fourth at the 2015 World Championship.
This year Origen struggled and the players faced relegation from the League Championship Series for the first time. The team is also looking for a new AD carry and support.
