Misfits has announced Friday that it has signed mid laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage to its League of Legends roster for the 2017 season. The squad has thus filled the vacancy left by Marcin "Selfie" Wolski following the latter's departure from the lineup on Dec. 5.

PowerOfEvil took the European League of Legends scene by storm when he qualified to the 2015 League of Legends Championship Series as a member of the Unicorns of Love and stood out from the competition through unconventional picks. The player nearly qualified to the 2015 World Championship with UoL, then moved to Origen in 2016 to replace Enrique "xPeke" Cedeño Martinez in the starting lineup.

PowerOfEvil and Misfits crossed paths in the 2017 LCS Spring Promotion Tournament in a closely-fought 3-2 affair, with PowerOfEvil playing for Origen. Misfits eventually qualified to the LCS upon beating Schalke 04 to the final league spot 3-1. The team is currently preparing in South Korea for the upcoming season.

Misfits reached the LCS within six months of its creation, following its departure from the Renegades organization and subsequent purchase in June. The squad dominated its competition in the 2016 Challenger Series Summer Split, with a lineup that included Barney "Alphari" Morris, Kim "Wisdom" Tae-wan, Leon "Lamabear" Krüger, Selfie, Steven "Hans sama" Liv and Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun.

The squad has yet to announce Wisdom's replacement in the jungle following the latter's decision to become a free agent.
