The ROX Tigers unveiled their 2017 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) spring roster earlier Thursday via Facebook, acquiring long-time veteran Park "Shy" Sang-myun; Afreeca Freecs' former core, Heo "Lindarang" Man-heung, Yoon "SeongHwan" Seong-hwan, Son "Mickey" Young-min, Kwon "Sangyoon" Sang-yoon and Kim "Key" Han-ki.

The newly assembled roster boasts experience at all five positions. Shy, who was once among the best top laners in South Korea, transfers from CJ Entus. Lindarang, Mickey, SeongHwan and Sangyoon teamed up on Afreeca Freecs and made a run to get to the 2016 World Championship, losing to eventual world finalists Samsung Galaxy in Round 2 of the LCK gauntlet. As for Key, he was a member of the ESC Ever squad that had won the 2015 KeSPA Cup, taking down SK Telecom T1 in the process.

ROX's previous roster, which has attended the League of Legends World Championship twice, disbanded and its players entered free agency in November. Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho landed in KT Rolster, Han "Peanut" Wang-ho joined ROX's rival SK Telecom T1, Kim "PraY" Jong-in and Kang "GorillA" Beom-hyeon joined Longzhu Gaming, and Lee "Kuro" Seo-haeng signed with Afreeca Freecs.
