The 2GGC: Civil War -- a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament -- will take place March 24-26 in Santa Ana, California. A three-day-long, 60-hour block party, Civil War will feature a "crew battle" that brings together 20 of the top players in Smash 4. Each player will choose a side between Team ZeRo, headed by Team SoloMid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios, and Team Ally, headed by Cloud9's Elliot "Ally" Bastien Carroza-Oyarce.

Not only will Civil War feature a crew battle, it will also host singles and doubles with chunky bonuses thrown in. There will be $30,000 total, with $15,000 reserved for singles and $5,000 for doubles. The final $10,000 will be distributed to the winning team of Civil War.

Civil War also will be a 2GGC: Championship Saga qualifying event. The winner of Civil War will land a spot at Championship Saga, and top placing players will earn double points for qualification.
