Shock pay back Titans, win OWL Stage 2 championship

The San Francisco Shock got revenge Sunday against the Vancouver Titans, winning the championship match of the Overwatch League Stage 2 playoffs with a 4-2 victory in the best-of-seven duel at Blizzard Arena in Burbank, Calif.

The victory comes 2 1/2 months after the Titans defeated the Shock 4-3 in the March 24 Stage 1 final.

The Shock earned $200,000 for the victory in the eight-team playoff, with the Titans earning $100,00 for second place.

San Francisco jumped to an early lead Sunday with a 2-0 victory on Lijiang Tower, but Vancouver came right back with a 5-4 triumph on King's Row before taking the series lead with a 1-0 win on Paris.

The Shock took over from there, winning 4-3 on Watchpoint: Gibraltar, 2-0 on Oasis and 2-1 on Blizzard World for the title.
