Team Secret staved off Evil Geniuses for a 3-2 victory to win the $300,000 ESL One Dota 2 tournament on Sunday in England.

In a back-and-forth matchup, Team Secret and Evil Geniuses alternated wins, with Team Secret taking the fifth and decisive game with a 29-19 kill advantage. Team Secret won the first game, a 51-minute affair with 73 kills split between the teams, and also took the third with a 10-kill advantage. Evil Geniuses, meanwhile, won Game 2 and fended off Team Liquid in a dominant Game 4 to set up the fifth.

The win capped a stunning day for Team Secret, which trailed PSG.LGD 1-0 in the best-of-three lower-bracket final to begin the day. But after dropping that first game to PSG.LGD, Team Secret won the next two with ease, racking up 75 kills to PSG.LGD's 19 over those two matchups.

Team Secret earned a $125,000 grand prize for their efforts. Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses claimed $65,000 for their runner-up finish, and PSG.LGD took home $35,000.

Team Secret beat OG, TNC Predator, Gambit Esports and PSG.LGD before reaching the final. The team roster includes Michal "Nisha" Jankowski, Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, Ludwig "zai" Wahlberg, Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat and Clement "Puppey" Ivanov.
