Vici Gaming and PSG.LGD each took upper-bracket wins Tuesday on the first day of the main event at the International 9 in Shanghai, China.

Vici Gaming, who finished in second place in Group B in last week's stage play, topped TNC Predator 2-1. PSG.LGD, the winner of Group A, defeated Virtus.pro by a 2-0 score.

In Tuesday's lower-bracket action, where the stakes are higher with a single-game format, Mineski beat Natus Vincere, Team Liquid topped Fnatic, Infamous defeated Keen Gaming and Royal Never Give Up ousted Alliance.

The four eliminated teams -- Alliance, Fnatic, Keen Gaming and Natus Vincere -- each will take home $504,689, their share of the more than $33 million prize pool.

Wednesday OG will meet Newbee and Team Secret will take on Evil Geniuses in the upper bracket. Virtus.pro and TNC Predator now fall into the lower bracket, where they will meet RNG and Team Liquid, respectively.
