NeptuNo, Cr0ng, Wya join Guangzhou Charge

The Guangzhou Charge announced the signings of Alberto "neptuNo" Gonzalez, Nam "Cr0ng" Ki-cheol and Qi "Wya" Haomiao on Weibo on Thursday.

neptuNo, 27, spent the first two seasons of the Overwatch League with the Philadelphia Fusion. The Spaniard is a main support player who also previously competed in League of Legends and Counter-Strike. He joins fellow main support Kim "Chara" Jung-yeon, who re-signed with the Charge this offseason.

Cr0ng, 20, is an up-and-coming off-tank player from South Korea who comes to the Charge from the O2 organization, having played for the 02 Team that merged with StormQuake to form the dominating 02 Blast team in January. Cr0ng is expected to replace flex player Choi "HOTBA" Hong-joon in the starting lineup.

Wya, 18, is a Chinese flex support player who was promoted from the Charge's Academy team, where management had been watching his progress for T1W.GZA. He is expected to back up Jinseo "Shu" Kim.

All OWL teams must have at least eight players signed by Friday. The Charge now have a nine-player roster with Thursday's three additions.

In addition to HOTBA, the Charge have parted with Wonjae "Rise" Lee, Joona "fragi" Laine, Hyungseok "Bischu" Kim and Lizhen "OnlyWish" Chen since the end of last season.
