Team Liquid co-CEO and owner Steve Arhancet announced Wednesday that several new additions to his League of Legends roster are having issues acquiring visas to enter the United States ahead of the League Championship Series spring split. Riot Games

Team Liquid could start the League of Legends Championship Series season short-handed, with three members dealing with visa delays, team owner Steve Arhancet announced Wednesday.

Arhancet confirmed junglers Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen of Denmark and Shern "Shernfire" Cherng Tai of Australia, as well as head coach Nu-ri "Cain" Jang of South Korea, are in limbo as the LCS season approaches.

"So this sucks," Arhancet tweeted Wednesday. "There are delays processing visas for Cain, Broxah and Shernfire. We hope they all may be able to compete at the start of the season, but that may not happen. This has also affected our (January) team practice. We are evaluating backup options should they be required."

The 2020 League Championship Series' spring season begins on Jan. 25 in Los Angeles.
