The first homestands of the 2020 Overwatch League season are in the books, and for all the drama of the offseason, the games ended up being pretty darn good.
Unsurprisingly, the New York Excelsior took care of business against the London Spitfire and Boston Uprising, although the Spitfire -- led by Gil-seong "Glister" Lim -- looked surprisingly competitive with the home team juggernaut. That wasn't the case for London against the Paris Eternal, who swept them in three maps a day after losing to a dangerous-looking Toronto Defiant squad.
Things got off to an equally hot start in Dallas, where the Los Angeles Gladiators took the Vancouver Titans to a fifth map before the Titans managed to eke out a victory. The Titans followed that up with a win over the Los Angeles Valiant on Sunday. Unfortunately for the home crowd, the Fuel went 0-2, dropping matches to the Valiant and last year's champion San Francisco Shock.
Who's on top after Week 1? We asked coaches from around the league for their rankings.
