The Chicago Huntsmen were big winners this weekend, emerging victorious in the first Call of Duty League weekend tournament after going 4-0 overall and beating the Dallas Empire 3-0 in the final on Sunday in London.
Meanwhile, the Paris Legion showed that Week 1 wasn't a fluke and that they will be a team to be reckoned with this season. Despite a hiccup in their first matchup of the weekend -- losing 3-1 to the New York Subliners -- they beat Toronto and exacted revenge on the Subliners, beating them 3-0 to reach the semifinals of the weekend tournament. They lost to Chicago but not before taking them to a fifth map. They're the only team besides Dallas to take any maps from Chicago this season.
The London Royal Ravens also turned in a noteworthy performance in front of their home fans this weekend. They reached the semifinals by reverse-sweeping the New York Subliners, much to the delight of their fans and the chagrin of Donovan "Temp" Laroda. Despite losing to Dallas in the semis, they put up a valiant effort, going up 2-0 before losing the next three maps.
