The developer has recently introduced "Fortnite Party Royale," a concert within Fortnite. The premiere will take place Friday, May 8 with deadmau5, Steve Aoki and Dillon Francis taking the virtual main stage.

A soft launch occurred on May 1, with Jordan Fisher and diplo performing in the weapons-free mode.

The event on Friday is set to begin at 9 p.m. ET, with deadmau5 scheduled to take the virtual stage at 9:40.

Collaborations have been a wildly popular initiative for Fortnite. Recently, almost 28 million users watched Travis Scott's Astronomical, a 15-minute event dubbed as a "musical journey." Fortnite has also hosted a virtual concert by the artist Marshmello, integrated Star Wars into a "May the 4th" event, and let players compete as Marvel's Thanos.
