The Chicago Huntsmen announced on Monday that Preston "Prestinni" Sanderson has joined their Call of Duty League lineup. He was previously on the Florida Mutineers.

"This was something the team wanted to happen since we competed during the Chicago weekend," Huntsmen coach Troy "Sender" Michaels said. "Even though Gunless and General are amazing players in their own right, the team felt that this would be the best fit for the current meta of the game and would give the squad the best chance of winning."

Prestinni will reunite with his twin brother, Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson, on the Huntsmen. The two had previously teamed together on eUnited, where they won the 2019 Call of Duty World League Championship. There is no word on whether Florida received compensation for letting Prestinni go.

Earlier this season, Prestinni and the Mutineers unexpectedly beat the Huntsmen in the Atlanta FaZe home series semifinals on Feb. 23. Before the Los Angeles home series on March 7-8, Prestinni stepped down from the Mutineers' starting lineup citing mental health issues. The Mutineers picked up Maurice "Fero" Henriquez for the roster and Fero has started for the team since that series.

The Chicago Huntsmen started the season well with a 2-0 week in league play on launch weekend and a victory at the London Royal Ravens' home series on Feb. 9. More recently, the team has underperformed compared to expectations and their early-season performances, failing to make it past the semifinals at their last two events despite role swap adjustments. More recently, Peirce "Gunless" Hillman was benched by the Huntsmen for Jordon "General" General. Prestinni will presumably start in the Huntsmen's next event: the Seattle Surge home series on May 22-24.

Currently, the Huntsmen are in third place overall in the Call of Duty League with one tournament win and 130 total points, 20 points behind the second-place Dallas Empire.
