Hiko joins 100 Thieves as VALORANT team captain

100 Thieves have entered the VALORANT market in a big way, signing Spencer "Hiko" Martin as its team captain.

Known as one of the most clutch players in tactical FPS games, Hiko has impressed many with his gameplay in several tournaments and streams throughout the closed beta phase of VALORANT, including the ESPN Esports VALORANT Invitational. Before VALORANT, Hiko spent many years as a Counter Strike pro, including stints with Rogue and Team Liquid.

"I want to win, I will do whatever it takes to win," said Hiko in the video announcement posted on Twitter by 100 Thieves. "My goal with 100 Thieves is to bring as many championships and as many trophies as I can to this organization."

This is 100 Thieves' first VALORANT signing. The brand also houses League of Legends LCS and Academy teams, and competes in Fortnite and CS:GO. Perhaps the most well known part of the org is its roster of streamers, which includes CEO Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop, Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter and others. 100 Thieves has Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, record executive Scooter Braun and recording artist Drake as co-owners.
